How to live a happy and a meaningful life?

Have you ever noticed why we enjoy the activity of a child ?
The child is busy all the time in exploring new things. If you observe more deeply, then you will find that every action of the child is based on the conditions of the present moment.Its exploring new things and enjoying every moment excite us and give joy. Initial years of the child has higher growth rate than rest of the life. 
As we grow up we stop or avoid exploring new things, start living in past and worrying about the future. We have actually hampered our growth by ourselves. This affect is reflected in our lives as we become negative, boring and find the journey of life tiring and monotonous. The ultimate result of all this is that we relinquish our dreams, desires and goals and surrender ourselves to the situations. After that these situations and negative thoughts becomes strong enough to overshadow our dreams and desires.
First of all, we need to understand that the life is multi-dimensional; every aspect should be given importance and fulfilled in order to achieve complete success and happiness in life. By paying attention to these aspects and taking small yet remarkable steps will actually make the journey towards your goal more meaningful, memorable and enjoyable. We need to take out these negative thoughts and take charge of the situation by filling our time space with those activities which will not only help us in overcoming the negative thoughts but also boost us with positive energy to achieve the goals by widening our horizon.
Here is the list of 9 activities that you should follow:

(1) Do one thing which scares you

If you want to evolve your personality then you need to do those things of which you are scared. Make a list of things which scare you and try to overcome that fear by choosing one activity at a time. Let us suppose you hesitate to speak in front of public. Then try to speak few lines in front of at least 4 or 5 people. Take some topic and start discussion. By taking these small steps, you will develop confidence of public speaking gradually. In this way, you will convert your weakness into strength.

(2) Travel often

Plan to travel often to the different places as per your budget. Visiting new places, meeting new people and enjoying different food will rejuvenate your energy level. The vast and infinite beauty of nature will change your perspective of thinking in a positive manner.

(3) Talk to your old friend

We are passed out of your school & colleges, we lived in the different places where we made very good friends but we got so much busy in our monotonous lives that we do not have time to talk to them. Even though we have their addresses, e-mail ids, telephone numbers but we somehow ignore them. Something is stopping us in making the communication. Kill this thought by remembering the old good days spent with them and take one step by calling them, e-mailing them and asking about them and their families. This activity will re-connect you with your old friends and you have opened one more door of happiness by sharing your thoughts. This will help you in getting out of your normal routine.

(4) Start a new activity

Start new activity like cooking, learning new language or learning to drive. This will not only keep you engage but also enhance your skills. Through learning, you are exploring new aspect in you. This will excite you and keep you energetic.

(5) Exercise regularly

Our thinking has also become sedentary because of the sedentary lifestyle. Taking out 15 minutes daily out of your daily routine for the exercise, will help you in keeping your mind sound and body fit. Regular exercise can boost your confidence.

(6) Read good books

Books are considered as the best friends for one’s life.Try to make habit of reading good motivational books. This will inspire you to stick to your goal with perseverance and patience.Reading helps in better visualization of things.

(7) Plan for the next day before sleeping

Always plan for the next day activities before sleeping. If you sleep without planning, then you will wake up blank and you will find difficult to plan the day out of your busy schedule. Planning effectively helps you to fill the time space of the next day with positive activities which could otherwise be filled with negative thoughts or activities.Planning leads to better time management.

(8) Helping and Giving

Whatever amount you are earning, always try to give some portion for good cause like donation for education of poor and underprivileged children, helping old people, giving street children food once in a week. Devoting your time and energy for a noble cause has the power to give you that amount of satisfaction and accomplishment that I think no other activity can provide.

(9) Take care of yourself by self-talking and gifting yourself often

You are one of the unique creations of the God. Always take out some time for yourself .By doing this you are spending time with one of the most important person in this world ,which is you. Talk yourself about your life, goals, accomplishments and everything that you feel to talk about. This activity will help you in assessing you in a true manner. Pamper yourself by gifting often with small gifts like a fountain pen, a formal shirt or a pair of jeans.
Every day, every hour, every minute or even every moment is full of choices. You have to consciously make the right choice by choosing the right option which leads to happiness. These activities will fill your time space with creativity, energy, enjoyment, fulfillment and will make your journey memorable & meaningful.
