Rejuvenate your life: Practice 10 activities daily

All of us can revitalize our life just by changing the focus, reaction and the point of view towards our day to day situations and circumstances. Here is list of activities which one should practice in his/her daily life.

(1) Shift focus from blaming to the problem solving

We should always try to find out the solution of the problem instead, of blaming a person who created the problem. When you focus your energy in finding the solution, you are actually creating a room for that person to realize his mistake without blaming, this will give him the feeling of acceptance even after committing a mistake and this feeling will enable him to look for the solution enthusiastically. People around you will start respecting you.

(2) Focus on what to do, instead of what not to do?

If I tell you “Don’t think about your mother”.
What would be the first picture that comes to your mind?
Obviously, it’s the image of your mother. The more you try not to think about your mother, the more clear picture of your mother is formed in your mind.
Actually our mind is conditioned to visualize the things or activities as pictures, like I say “I am running” or “I am eating”, my mind will make picture of me running or eating.
If I say,” I am not dancing”, my mind  will first make picture of me dancing and then the second thought will tell me not to  dance. Similarly, if I say I am sitting on the chair, in the very first thought my mind visualize me sitting on the chair. There will be no second thought.
Leaving these two short sentences for your mind to visualize
  • Don’t fight
  • Be friendly
Try to make resonance between the words and the visualization of the mind. This can be done by simply focus on “what to do” instead of “what not to do”.

(3) Take one step at a time

This activity will help in channelizing your energy in one direction and you will get the outstanding results.

(4) Try to feel your work, do not make your work an urgent thing

Have you ever noticed when you eat in hurry, you don’t relish your food even if it is your favorite dish? Because your taste buds don’t feel the food. Similarly, by making things urgent, you start doing things in hurry and you lose the feel of the work and which affects the output. When you involve yourself in the process of the work, you start enjoying it and your effectiveness increases which enables you to accomplish your work in time.

(5) Kill the rumors

Most of us get involved in some or other kind of rumors in office or around. It is found that more than 50% of the rumors are baseless and the remaining 50% are based on half truth and people’s own assumptions. Always try to analyze and visualize the situation using your senses, this will help you in understanding the real situation.

(6) Accept criticism and be open for a negative comment

Whenever you try something new, it is natural that you will make mistakes and 5 out of 10 people will criticize you and give negative comments. These negative comments will make you conscious and will stop you in trying new thing or you can say that they will stop you from growing. This is actually a force that has some energy which is pulling you or stopping you from growing. Here comes the role of conditioning, you need to condition your mind to react positively and channelize this energy in such a way that these comments act as a booster instead of puller. Try to get the advice hidden in the harsh comments.

(7) Comparison is meaningless

​Neither thumb impressions nor genes are identical in the nature. It means that every individual is unique with unique qualities. The only need is to identify those qualities and work upon them, comparing individuals is meaningless.

(8) What others think about you is none of your business

Actually, most of us react and behave in accordance with others thinking. It means that our actions are slave of somebody else’s thinking. Let your mind think freely without any persuasion, you cannot get real out of you until you react to the others thinking.

(9) Take responsibility of your failure gracefully

Life is a journey of failures and successes. Most of us don’t accept the failure easily. Let us understand with an example, a student says that he was not able to score well because he was not having book on that subject. This is not his fault.
What he did?
He simply put the responsibility of his failure on the non-availability of the book.
Book was not available is the cause. He scored low is the effect. Until he changes the point of direction from the non-availability of book towards himself, he will not succeed in scoring well in that subject. Once you take the responsibility of your failure, you start working on the cause of it and look for the solution.

(10) Patience and Perseverance is the father of all

Neither talent nor intelligence can achieve success without patience and the perseverance. Most of the people left their journey in between because of lack of patience and efforts. Try to imbibe these two qualities by practicing on daily basis.
